First Grade Newsletter – January
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We are very excited to be back in the classroom and looking forward to an awesome 2019.
We will begin our studies of the American Revolution with the 13 colonies. Important people in our history will be introduced including Paul Revere, The Minutemen, and Thomas Jefferson. We will also be discussing The Boston Tea Party, The Declaration of Independence and important American symbols.
In Science we will get electrified! We will be learning about the many contributions of Thomas Edison, static electricity, and safety. The students will experiment to see what a conductor is. It should be an “energy” filled month!
