Third Grade News:

 

In social studies we will be learning about the Civil War- covering causes of war, presidents Lincoln and Davis, slavery, The Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman, the abolitionist- Sojourner Truth and Fredrick Douglass, and generals Grant and Lee.

We will finish up the year by watching Alice in Wonderland.

What We Are Excited For: Money Unit- We will be starting a money unit where the students can earn money to buy items at our auction. A letter has gone home. Please send in small items to auction to be used during the 3rd grade auction. If you have any questions, please let a third grade teacher know.

END OF YEAR WATER PLAY PARTY-

Students should wear sunscreen water shoes (or old sneakers),and bring a towel, a healthy snack and refillable water bottle.

Continue working on math facts, the ALEKS program and review workbooks throughout the summer.
