Classroom News!!!! May, 2019
Hello fourth grade families! We had such an amazing and action-packed April. The students did an amazing job during their AZ Merit testing, they made African masks during Art Masterpiece, raced worms for Earth Day, participated in our spring concert, learned about different careers, and went on a field trip to Tucson, AZ.
This month is also packed with events and excitement as our school year winds down. Students will be going on another field trip to Northern Arizona, we will continue with our end of the year ABC countdown, participate in Art Masterpiece, fly kites and get ready to move up to 5th grade!!!
In social studies, we have been learning about ancient civilizations and will continue learning about Ancient China. Writing in April included a pourquoi story and our first writing in May will include a historical fiction narrative.
In April, we welcomed Mrs. Alexander back to fourth grade! We definitely missed her and are happy she is back with us.
Thank you for all of your support during teacher appreciation week, we felt very loved and are extremely grateful for your kind words, flowers, treats, cards, pens, pencils and love!
We will not be sending mid-term reports home for the fourth quarter unless your student is earning less than 70% in a subject. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
It has been a privilege to teach and learn from your children this school year! We will miss them so much and can’t wait to see them as they start 5th grade. Have a fun, restful, adventure-filled summer!!!!
