Show Choir with Mrs. Nyland
If your child loves to sing and perform then they will love being part of the Benchmark Show Choir! This club will take your child’s musical experience at Benchmark to the next level by improving vocal technique, learning to sing in harmony, earning choreography & basic dance movement, AND developing sight singing skills & improving music theory knowledge. This club is open to any Benchmark student in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th-grade.
Musical Theater with Mrs. Nyland
If your child loves to sing, dance & act then they will love being part of the Benchmark Musical Theater Club! This club is specifically designed for our younger performers in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders who are interested in working together to put on a musical production.
Art Club with Ms. York
This afterschool club is open for K through 6th-grade students. The art club offers a dynamic and hands-on creative experience, exploring various art mediums and techniques. Students will engage in projects that inspire artistic expression, critical thinking, and collaboration, fostering a deeper appreciation for the visual arts.
Animal Club with Mr. Kyle and Mrs. Rheinfelder
The science lab club program offers hands-on animal time, interactive learning, and STEM activities tailored for third grade through 6th-grade. Students will explore various scientific concepts, and animal exploration, and engage in inquiry-based learning to spark curiosity and excitement about the wonders of science.
Wonder Feet Club with Mrs. Perry
The: The PE summer camp program for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students promotes physical activity, teamwork, and healthy habits through various fun and engaging games, sports, and exercises. Children will have the opportunity to develop their motor skills, build confidence, and make new friends in an active and supportive environment.
Garden Club with Mrs. Fitch
The Gardening Club program for Pre-K 4's through 6th-grade students allows kids to get their hands dirty while discovering the wonders of nature. Children grow everything from worms to fruits and vegetables, learning how to nurture life from the soil up. Whether they're pulling weeds, planting seeds, or harvesting your crops, they'll gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of plants in our world. Join us to explore the fun and rewarding world of gardening and watch as our hard work blossoms into something beautiful.
Cooking Club with Mrs. Kunz & Mrs. Pennington
Does your child like to cook? Join us for the Cooking Club! Each week we will introduce a new recipe and prepare a delicious dish. At the end of the session, your child will have a collection of the recipes we made in class to try at home. This club is open to Pre-K through 6th-grade students!
Yearbook Club with Mrs. Scarpino
In this club, students will help design and produce the 2024-2025 yearbook: shoot, collect, and select event photos, candids, art, and copy; design and layout pages; fundraise and promote yearbook sales; and learn more about photography and the publishing process. As an added BONUS each Yearbook Club member gets a free yearbook! This club is open to Pre-K through 6th-grade students!
Artsy Afternoons with Ms. York
Calling all young K through 6th-grade student artists! Every third Friday of the month, we'll dive into a new world of imagination and creativity. From painting to sculpture, each session will explore a different theme with fun, hands-on activities and crafts. Whether you love to draw, paint, or build, there's something for everyone! Led by Ms. York, it's the perfect way to end your week with a burst of creativity.
**We have other flyers for Soccer, Tennis, Dance, & Chess located in the office. These are not led by Benchmark teachers, but we work with the companies who run them.**
